Camp leadership

Work with young Swiss Abroad

Camp leadership

Would you like to run or help to run an international, multilingual camp?
The FYSA gives you the chance to make an active contribution to camp life and introduce Switzerland in all its facets to young Swiss Abroad.

Training and further education

Our training courses will teach you the necessary expertise, social and leadership skills to prepare you for your responsibilities at camp.

Civilian service

The FYSA offers you short assignments of 15 to 26 days of civilian service, during which you plan and run multicultural, multilingual camps for young Swiss Abroad between the ages of 8 and 14.

I enjoy leading the FYSA camps because they allow me to be a tourist in my own country! At each camp, I take the opportunity to see the most beautiful places in Switzerland and discover cultures from around the world.

Maxime, camp leader and civilian servant, Suisse

My experience as a leader has taught me teamwork, flexibility, organization, and patience. It’s a great opportunity to grow as a person and take responsibility while having a great time.

Sandra, camp leader, Switzerland

Our son received excellent care while at camp. I was completely impressed and knew he was in good hands.

Leah, mother, USA

The experience, support, and family-like atmosphere at and from the office make FYSA a special place to complete my national service.

Samuel, camp leader and civilian servant, Switzerland

About us

More than 770,000 Swiss citizens currently live abroad for shorter or longer periods of time, and the trend is growing. Identifying as a Swiss Abroad has a long history behind it, just as the camps run by the Foundation for Young Swiss Abroad (FYSA) have a long history behind them.
